Program Overview
My philosophy on an athletic training program from my playing days and now as an athletic trainer, has always been the following;
- It has to challenge you physically and mentally for you to become your best.
- It has to be fun and enjoyable! It’s the same reason why we play sports.
- It has to focus on the improvement of athleticism:
Combining strength activities in every workout with highly explosive athletic movements like jumping and sprinting, plus incorporating dynamic balance exercises.

Building Your Off-ice Training Program
Pro Sports Training offers FIVE different programs to build your athletic training program. Each of them is extremely important in achieving athletic success.
***Must be 12 years of age or older to enroll***
Athletic Strength
Program
The ASP Program is designed to improve strength and athleticism, with the intent of improving sport skills. Focused areas include: Total body strength, complex strength, core stabilization and sports balance.
Performance
Enhancement Program
The PEP program is designed to improve one’s sports performance by improving explosive power while incorporating speed, agility, and quickness.
Cognitive Training
for Hockey Program
The CTH program is designed to improve the athletes cognitive abilities. These include improved concentration, better decision-making skills, faster reaction time, and enhanced visual-spatial awareness.
Goalie Specific
Program
The GSP program is designed for goalies to work on specific exercises to improve their movement patterns while incorporating visual reaction, concentration and core rotational strength.
Energy System Development
Track Program
The ESD program is a complete 14 week sprinting program at the Goulbourn Recreation Complex. This program features distance sprints, repeats, pro runs, acceleration starts, agility quick feet drills and much more!
